Poker

There are numerous types of Poker, the most common of which is Texas Hold'em Poker.

1. Each player is dealt two cards faced down by the dealer.

2. The player left of the dealer must pay a small blind, and the player left to him ust pay the large blind.

3. The first round of betting now begins, with the player left of the big blind acting first, then clockwise.

4. Each player may either 'check' (meaning no bet), 'bet' (if no bet has been made), 'call' (to match another players bet), or 'fold' their cards.

5. Each player not folding must at least match the highest bet made by other players.

6. Three cards are then drawn and placed faced up on the table. This is the Flop.

7. The next round of betting commences.

8. Another card is plced faced up on the table, called the turn.

9. Another round of betting takes place.

10. The final card, called the river is then placed on the table.

11. The final round of betting occurs before all remaining players show their cards

All players must make the best 5 card hand possible out of their own two cards, and the five available on the tale.

1 - Royal Flush (10 J Q K A of the same suit)

2 - Straight Flush (Any five card runs of the same suit)

3 - Four of a kind

4 - Full House (Three of one number and two of another)

5 - Flush (Five of the same suit)

6 - Straight (Five card run)

7 - Three of a kind

8 - Two Pair

9 - Pair

10 - High Card
